Social media breaks have been good for my soul these days!
But also, I'm learning that it's important to give myself time to physically rest. I'm learning to value resting, and not only value busyness. Let me tell you, it's a practice!!
I've been noticing when any self-criticism comes in when I'm taking a rest. (like, "I'm being so lazy right now")...OR when I get a bad case of the "shoulds" (like, "I SHOULD be doing ___").
How do you spend time resting? Do you get a bad case of the "shoulds" like I do?
I wish that you make time to rest today...even if for just a few minutes.

Making this day great might sound like a HUGE & impossible task. If so, my question for you is: Can you think of something to do for yourself that is kind & compassionate? Here are some basic examples:
taking some deep breaths, drinking some tea, taking a bath, going for a walk,
playing with your dog, taking a nap, journaling...or just giving yourself a little break. Learning how you can be kind to yourself during times of struggle can be really helpful...and get you on the road to a great day!

Your body hears everything your mind says, so whether you're speaking out loud or thinking within, the things you say matter...and can affect how you treat, love and value yourself. So...how about a little kindness?!
