GALLERY 501 PRESENTS
Effect/Affect
Effect/Affect presents a range of artistic responses to the cultural landscape of the 1970s to the present day through a curated selection on loan from the Collection of the University of South Florida alongside the collaborative project SWAP - MAKE ONE / TAKE ONE - A ZINE PROJECT headed by Tampa-based contemporary artist Jay Giroux.
Artwork from University of South Florida Collection includes works by Trenton Doyle Hancock, Vito Acconci, Lorna Simpson, Jia Aili, Jenny Holzer, Graciela Iturbide, Roy Lichtenstein, Ibrahim Miranda, Claes Oldenburg, Ed Ruscha, Hollis Sigler, Sergei Volkov and Gunter Wirth, all courtesy of the USF Contemporary Art Museum.
Effect/Affect is co-curated by Amanda Poss and Vincent Kral with the collaboration of Noel Smith.

Photographers, heads up!
Calling all photographers! The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is now accepting submissions for its 17th annual Members Show.
Museum members can submit photographic art to the show through August 18. There will be eight categories featured in this year’s exhibition: Travel, Forms and Figures, Fashion, Food, Design, Tampa Heritage, Science/Technology and Animals.
