🎵 Chest Voice
What it is:
The lower, fuller register of the voice that most closely resembles your speaking voice.
Where it sits:
In the lower part of your range, typically where the voice feels most natural and grounded.
What it feels like:
Stable
Resonant
Full and connected
Vibrations may feel stronger in the chest area
Used for:
Speaking
Lower notes in singing
Building power and depth in the voice
It uses thicker vocal fold coordination, which gives it that rich, strong sound but it’s not meant to be pushed too high. When overextended, it can lead to tension and strain.

STOP OVERTHINKING YOUR VOICE
YOUR VOICE GROWS WHEN YOU STOP OVERTHINKING 🎶
One of the biggest things that blocks vocal freedom isn’t your range, your tone, or your talent it’s overthinking.
When the mind tightens, the body follows.
Tension creeps into the jaw, neck, and breath… and suddenly your voice feels stiff or unreliable.
Training gives you the tools.
But growth comes when you trust your body to do what you’ve practiced.
Try this today: 👉 Take one deep relaxed breath
👉 Sing one phrase without judging it
👉 Let it flow instead of controlling it
Freedom creates consistency.
💬 Do you tend to overthink when you sing
yes or no?

🎤 SINGING SHOULDN’T FEEL HARD OR STRAINED
If your voice feels tight, tired, or inconsistent — it’s usually a technique issue, not a talent issue.
Small adjustments in breath, posture, and coordination can completely change how your voice feels and sounds.
I work with singers of all levels through private virtual voice lessons — helping build healthy technique, confidence, and consistency in a supportive environment.

🎤 HOW TO KEEP YOUR VOICE STRONG AND HEALTHY AS A SINGER
Your voice is your instrument; f you don’t take care of it, it won’t take care of you.
Here are simple habits every singer should practice 👇
✅ 1. Warm up before singing
Never jump straight into singing.
A cold voice tires faster and strains more easily.
✅ 2. Stay hydrated throughout the day
Hydration supports healthy vocal tissue — not just when you’re singing.
✅ 3. Protect your speaking voice
Yelling, talking loudly for long periods, and poor posture strain your voice more than singing.
✅ 4. Rest when your voice feels tired
Vocal fatigue is feedback, not weakness.
✅ 5. Breathe efficiently
Let breath do the work instead of forcing sound from the throat.
✅ 6. Sleep and recovery matter
Your voice heals when your body rests.
🎯 Important reminder:
A healthy voice should feel free, not painful or forced.
