How do climate change, food systems, culture, and social justice intersect in Italy and the Mediterranean? This interdisciplinary course explores environmental issues through literature, film, activism, and lived experience.

Food, landscapes, and environmental change in Italy.
🟢 Taught in English. No prior Italian required!
✨ ITA 2200 – Italian III
Language, city, and belonging through contemporary Italian fiction and conversation.

Discover language through stories of migration and identity.
Join us this spring for an engaging Italian conversation course exploring language, identity, and belonging. Through Claudia Durastanti’s acclaimed memoir La straniera and Jhumpa Lahiri’s introspective novel Dove mi trovo, along with other works on migration and cultural hybridity, we’ll dive into themes of displacement, family, and self-discovery while strengthening your speaking skills. Perfect for students eager to practice Italian in a dynamic, discussion-based setting and connect literature with lived experience.
