Our VPK Crew is already for this year!
Today is such a special day—your child’s first day of VPK! 💛
We know that this morning may have been filled with all kinds of emotions. There may have been excitement, nervousness, a few tears, lots of hugs, and maybe even a parent who had a harder time saying goodbye than their little one did. Whatever you felt as you walked away this morning, please know that your child is in caring hands.
Starting VPK is a big milestone. For some children, today may be the beginning of their very first school experience. For others, it is the start of a new classroom, new teachers, new friends, and new adventures. Either way, it is the beginning of an incredible year of growth.
Over the months ahead, your children will learn their letters and numbers, strengthen their language and early literacy skills, explore science and math, create beautiful art, sing songs, listen to stories, and discover so many new things. But some of the most important lessons they will learn won’t come from a worksheet or a lesson plan.
They will learn how to make a friend.
They will learn how to share, take turns, solve problems, and use their words.
They will learn that it’s okay to make mistakes and try again.
They will learn to be independent, to believe in themselves, and to be proud of what they can accomplish.
And little by little, right before our eyes, they will begin becoming the confident kindergarteners they are meant to be.
Parents, we know how much trust it takes to place your child in someone else’s care. Thank you for trusting us with your most precious gift. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. We promise to celebrate their successes, encourage them when something feels difficult, comfort them when they need an extra hug, and make sure they know every single day that they are important, capable, and loved.
There will be so many “firsts” this year—the first new friend, the first time writing their name, the first class project, the first moment when something they’ve been working so hard to learn finally clicks. We are incredibly grateful that we get to experience those moments alongside you.
So, take that first-day picture. Save the little handprint projects. Keep the drawings that may not look like much today. Ask about their friends, listen to their stories, and celebrate every bit of progress.
Because before we know it, we’ll be looking at these same little faces at the end of VPK wondering how they grew up so quickly and will be off to Kindergarten!
Today, their VPK journey begins.
Welcome to VPK, little ones. We are so happy you’re here, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you will do! 🍎✏️
