Congratulations to the Summer 2026 Academic Capstone Experience presentation awardees for their outstanding presentations!

Their presentations explored a wide range of sustainability challenges. From community perceptions of data centers and animal welfare to conservation and hands-on experience at Oregon State University, our Sustaina-BULLS showed the many ways sustainability can make an impact.

A special thank you to Dr. Lauren Bates, Director of the Academic Capstone Experience, for her leadership and dedication to guiding our students through this important milestone.

Our Summer 2026 Academic Capstone Experience presentations highlighted what makes sustainability such a dynamic field: solving complex challenges through research, innovation, and collaboration.

Students presented projects exploring topics including food access, conservation, data centers, water resources, renewable energy, and sustainability education, alongside internship experiences with organizations making a difference in our communities.

🌱 Meet Kamiran! 👋✨

Kamiran is a Student Assistant at the Patel College of Global Sustainability, supporting the Marketing Department through event coordination, organization, and creative projects.

A Biomedical Sciences major with a passion for research, Kamiran brings her curiosity and attention to detail into her role at PCGS. From coordinating Bull Market efforts and organizing the marketing space to assisting with posters, flyers, and promotional materials, she helps keep our team’s outreach efforts running smoothly. 🌎💚
