After more than 40 years, rhinos are returning to parts of their historic range in Uganda. Conservation efforts have successfully expanded rhino reintroduction to two sites—Kidepo Valley National Park and Ajai Wildlife Reserve—marking an important milestone for wildlife conservation and biodiversity restoration in East Africa. 🦏💚

By moving away from resource-heavy finfish and shrimp farming and focusing more on bivalves (like mussels and oysters) and seaweed, we can drastically reduce the environmental footprint of what we take from the sea.

Bivalves and seaweed are incredible because they don't require heavy feeding and actually help clean the water and absorb carbon naturally! 🌿🦪

From practicing law in China to driving clean energy initiatives in Florida, Lujuan Wang’s career journey is proof that it’s never too late to redefine your purpose! 🌟🌱

While pursuing her master's at the Patel College of Global Sustainability (PCGS) and her MBA at the Muma College of Business, Lujuan learned to bridge the gap between business strategy and environmental impact. Today, she’s putting those exact skills to work as a P&P Implementation and Contractor Engagement Specialist at SELF (Solar and Energy Loan Fund), helping low-income communities access affordable green financing.

"I gained different perspectives from both colleges, and I use that knowledge in the real world every day," she says.
