The seventh month of the lunar calendar is known as The Ghost month. But, the seventh day of this month has another story. Tonight is the only time Zhinu(織女）and Niulang(牛郎）are allowed to meet, who are separated by the Milky Way. Thousands of magpies re touched by their love story, they gather and form a bridge for them to cross and meet once a year on this special night! That’s origin of Qixi Valentine’s Day(七夕情人節）

On the first day back to school, we all had so much fun at Pastor Johnny’s cooking class making the viral purple rice roll. It is so easy to make this traditional Taiwanese street food as long as you have the right ingredients. We had fun learning the Taiwanese ingredients, making a yummy pick-me-up, catching up with old friends and making new ones at the same time! We can’t wait for the next cooking class!

The craft class is always fun. We made money pouches and/ or scented sachets this Sunday. Miss Sanda prepared different color hand-made pouches for students to pick. Each color represents its unique blessing!
