We’re having a blast this week, singing and learning about instruments! Vocal 🎤 Camp met on Monday and Wednesday with beautiful voices ringing out! At Camp Creative, students learned all about the violin 🎻 on Tuesday and they’re excited for guitar 🎸 and piano 🎹 Thursday and Friday!

We are pleased to welcome Kristin R to Creative Keys Tampa! Kristin is a music educator and classically trained coloratura soprano. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and teaches voice, piano, ukulele, and music theory. Kristin has experience in classical, musical theatre, jazz, pop, rock, and indie styles, and is passionate about helping students build confidence and a lifelong love of music!

Our annual Summer Art Contest is here! Submit your artwork with a music theme on 8.5x11 inch paper between June 1 and July 31 and you'll be entered into the contest!
Prizes include a $25 Amazon gift card for first place, $15 for second place, and $10 for third place, per age category.
Winners will be announced the first week of August.
Must be a current student to participate / win.
Age categories include:
5-8 • 9-12 • 13+
Your art may even be featured on the walls at Creative Keys!

Announcing our 7th Annual Composition Contest!
This Summer, let’s get creative with composition and have fun writing a song! Students are invited to compose a piece of music at least 8 measures long, incorporating a variety of music elements – notes, rhythm, dynamics, articulation, and more.
Chat with your teacher about your goals so they can help guide your songwriting journey! Then, submit your piece of music anytime June 1 through July 31 (link below). Be sure to include your name and age in the file name! Videos of students performing their composition are encouraged, along with their manuscript. Judging will take place August 1-15 and winners will be announced August 16!

There are 3 age categories;
5-8 • 9-12 • 13+
Prizes – Amazon gift card: First place $50, second place $25 per age category

Must be a current student to participate / win.
The deadline for submission is July 31st.

Q: What is your favorite style of music to play?
A: I love to play classical music, or music from a show or movie that I love. I feel like if it’s from something you love playing it makes it that much more exciting.

Q: What do you like best about your lessons?
A: I love seeing Ms. Tatyana, talking with her and her teaching me is always the most amazing part of my week. She is so kind and helpful and has helped me grow so much.

Q: What music goals do you have for the next year?
A: Next year I hope to be able to compose more original pieces and sight read a little more easy!
