🚨 NCLEX Strategy Breakdown

The question is asking:
👉 “Which intervention should the nurse implement FIRST?”

That means this is a PRIORITY question.

Here’s the key:

Before you act…
you need to assess what’s happening.

Especially in a condition like pericarditis,
where complications can be serious.
Don’t jump to action too fast.
Think first. Assess first.

What is the real purpose of the NCLEX?

It’s not just to test how much you know.

The NCLEX is designed to determine if you can provide safe and effective nursing care.

Every question is asking:
👉 Can you keep this patient safe?
👉 Can you make the right clinical decision?

That’s why it’s not about memorization…
it’s about critical thinking, prioritization, and judgment.

When you understand this,
you stop guessing… and start thinking like a nurse.

That’s how you pass the NCLEX.

Parent: “My child hasn’t eaten in 4 hours.”
NCLEX Crusade student:
👉 “But is the airway patent?” 😅

Because on the NCLEX…
priority always wins.

👇 Has this ever happened to you?

Before answering an NCLEX question…
you need to ask yourself three key things:

👉 Do I have objective or subjective data?
👉 Should I assess or implement?
👉 Is this a priority question?

🧠 First: Objective vs Subjective data

Objective = measurable, observable
(vitals, labs, physical findings)
Subjective = what the patient says or feels

👉 Objective data is usually more reliable
when making clinical decisions.
⚖️ Second: Assessment vs Implementation

If the patient is stable or information is unclear → ASSESS
If the patient is unstable or in danger → IMPLEMENT

🚨 Third (most important):
Is this a PRIORITY question?

Look for words like:
👉 first
👉 priority
👉 most important
👉 immediate

When you combine these 3 steps…

✔ You think like the NCLEX
✔ You stop guessing
✔ You choose the safest answer

This is how you break down every question with strategy.
