Private Literacy Instruction and Orton-Gillingham Tutoring

In these 50 minute sessions the instructor provides individualized multi-sensory reading instruction. The instructor is trained and certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading, which is ideal for children with learning differences needing mediation and also appropriate for typical learners looking t

o excel in reading. Each lesson is prescriptive and diagnostic to address the student’s specific deficits in reading and writing skills. Lessons will teach and reinforce a broad range of literacy skills such as phonics, handwriting, spelling, sentence structure, oral reading, vocabulary, and comprehension. Homework Help

In these 50 minute sessions the instructor will support the student in completing homework assignments for the week while taking note of any skills the student needs reteaching or reinforcement on.
