All Chic Image Academy advanced trainings are open to licensed and credentialed beauty, wellness, and medical practitioners.
Participation in this course does not grant new licensure or expand one’s existing legal scope of practice.
Attendees are responsible for understanding and following their state board regulations regarding microneedling, peels, and topical agents. We will review regulations and scope for Florida practicioners. Microneedling is out of scope for facial specialists in Florida.

🌿 “Medical Esthetics” Isn’t What You Think: Why Chic Image Academy Teaches Advanced Clinical Aesthetics Instead

In today’s beauty and wellness industry, the phrase “medical esthetics” often appears on social media, marketing materials, and even school brochures. It sounds impressive — but here’s the truth: there is no such official title or license as “Medical Esthetician.”

At Chic Image Academy, we believe in teaching excellence with integrity. That’s why our signature program is proudly called Advanced Clinical Aesthetics, not “medical esthetics.” We combine high-level education, global standards, and ethical training to ensure our students succeed within their LEGAL SCOPE OF PRACTICE — while standing out for their professionalism and clinical skill.

⚖️ The Truth: “Medical Esthetician” Is Not a Legal Title

Under Florida law (and most state boards across the U.S.), estheticians are licensed as Facial Specialists or Estheticians — not medical professionals.

Only licensed Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or Registered Nurses may legally perform or advertise medical procedures such as injections, ablative lasers, or prescriptions.

An esthetician who advertises themselves as a “medical esthetician” is stepping into a legal gray area. It’s not recognized by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) or any state licensing board.

Doing so may:
• Mislead clients about your credentials or scope of practice.
• Violate advertising and state regulatory laws.
• Undermine professional trust in the industry.

So, while the term “medical esthetics” sounds impressive — it’s not a regulated or legitimate professional title unless you hold a medical license.
