Founder and Owner Captain Andy Deen holds both the USCG Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV) License and the Master License (25 Gross Registered Tons) with Auxiliary Sailing Endorsement. -Custom/private lessons
Many boat owners already hold some certifications but still wish to advance their training. Andy has the flexibility to come to you so that you can learn on YOUR vessel, in YOUR marina/slip, and in YOUR cruising grounds. The best part of this arrangement is that you as the vessel owner can set the pace and focus for our time together.
-Yacht deliveries/repositioning
If you are buying or selling your vessel, Andy can deliver it to its new home. Many owners maximize their limited vacation time by taking a “one way” trip on their vessel and then hiring Andy to return it to its home slip. If he is already booked, he may be able to connect you with another captain in his network who can assist you.
-Insurance Evaluations
Insurance companies continue to raise their minimum requirements, especially for new/first-time boat owners. Many companies ask for proof of prior ownership and also require a captain to evaluate the owner to a set rubric. Andy will make sure you meet and exceed their requirements and will also send a detailed letter of recommendation to your Agent.
-Captained Charters
Looking to enjoy a power or sailing cruise, without lifting a finger? Andy has captained charters in length from a three-hour sunset cruise to a multi-day cruise down the West Coast of Florida. Let him do all the planning and work so you can focus on relaxing with your guests!
