Passing on my proprietary teaching systems
Simone Salsa Dance School stopped its operations in March 2020 due to the pandemic. Social dancing is the most virally-transmissive social activity in existence and I simply would not foster transmission during that period.
Then during pandemic I decided that after 23 years I would retire from teaching. You all know I loved teaching, but I am loving retirement right now! I will still do some events to bring us all together as I will not retire from dancing, and will not stop loving all of you my peeps my heart, until the end of my days. 🙂
But for countless former students who kept asking us over and over when we were going to re-open classes, and for new students who heard about our widespread reputation and waited for us to re-open to start taking classes with us, my retirement from teaching first seemed like bad news.
Some said that Simone Salsa Dance School was so famous and large because of me. But it wasn't me; it was the teaching systems that I crafted which created the school's success.
So I actually have good news:
My teaching systems will continue on through multiple former Simone Salsa teachers that I personally trained to employ my methods.
I believe that one of the biggest achievements in one's professional life is what that professional passes on to younger generations to continue and spread one's work. I am proud to have spent years doing that.
