Lent is the period in the liturgical calendar that begins with Ash Wednesday and ends with Easter Sunday.
The ashes come from Palm branches blessed on the previous year's Palm Sunday.
Observing it isn't in any way a requirement of Christianity however, Christians from many different Theological persuasions choose to observe it as a way of focusing their thoughts on Jesus Christ.

"Amid the rush of deadlines and assignments, remember that Jesus is your anchor!! 🌊 📖
When school gets intense, take a moment to pause, pray, and recharge.
Keep Christ at the center, and let Him guide you through the journey. "

Midterms are around the corner!
Here's a checklist to help you feel prepared and confident
Make a schedule—Review your syllabi and identify midterm exams and assignment dates. Even if some are a couple of weeks away, start carving study time out of your schedule now.
Identify the best study techniques for you.
Sometimes, the most challenging part of studying is figuring out how you will get started in the world. Try making your test questions.
Get all of your test-taking materials in order.
Take this time to get ready for test day.
Double-check that your computer is updated and won't randomly shut down mid-exam.
Check-in with Christ!
Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" It's normal to feel stressed going into midterms, but it's important not to let that stress overwhelm you. Remember to take regular breaks as you study and be patient with yourself if things start to feel difficult.

Have not posted for a while y’all but this one got me, from “I Believe: Authentic Christianity in a Secular Age” podcast. Speaking of the gospel of Jesus Christ, he says…
“it protects and uphold the purity of the church. and every single time over the last 2000 years that the purity of the church has been threatened, it has always been done in the name of cultural relevance and accommodation in order that we do not offend the masses. In order to make our message a little more accessible to the outside world, we either need to subtract or add to the message of Jesus Christ and Jude says (Jude 3-4) don’t have any part of it but contend for it.
Blessings abound!
