Happy World Wildlife Day!
What have you dont to make a positive difference today for wildlife?
Wildlife doesn’t start with animals.
It starts with plants.
This World Wildlife Day, we’re celebrating the native plants that make Florida’s ecosystems possible — from the pollinators in our gardens to the birds, butterflies, and mammals that depend on healthy habitat.
Every native plant installed, every invasive removed, and every restoration project supported helps protect wildlife right here in our own communities.
When we plant native, we protect wildlife.

We have seen lots of lawns converted to pollinator havens. Come visit our horticulture team at Little Red Wagon Native Nursery and get started on your journey to creating your Florida native habitat.
Tired of the high-maintenance lawn look? Florida homeowners are transforming their yards into pollinator-packed, water-wise, native plant habitats — and the results are stunning. Just like the gardener in the article who swapped grass for blooms, Florida yards can become living ecosystems when we replace turf with native wildflowers, shrubs, and grasses.
Native plants:
🌱 Save water
🦋 Support butterflies & pollinators
🐦 Feed birds
🔥 Survive Florida’s climate naturally
💚 Reduce chemicals and mowing
A beautiful yard doesn’t need exotic plants — it just needs the right Florida natives.
Start small. Plant with purpose. Watch wildlife return.
💬 Tell us: What part of your yard would you convert first?
