Living in Tampa Bay means sunshine, opportunity, and access to one of the most exciting aviation and aerospace communities in the country—and we’re inviting the next generation to step into it.
The ACE Academy is a multi-day, hands-on program designed to expose middle and high school students to the wide variety of careers available in aviation and aerospace.
Students will explore:
✈️ Aviation history
🛩️ Fundamentals of aerodynamics
🏛️ The role of government in aviation
🚀 The many career pathways across the aerospace industry
Our mission is simple: ignite passion, expand horizons, and challenge students to strive for excellence. We connect real-world aviation careers to STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), helping students see how what they learn in the classroom applies to life beyond it.
We’re looking for curious minds, motivated students, and future leaders ready to take advantage of everything Tampa Bay has to offer and aim higher than they ever imagined.

Tampa ACE Academy proudly celebrates Jeanine Menze our Co-Director and Pilots of Promise Board Member on her extraordinary and historic achievement.

Growing up in Jamaica, Jeanine was mesmerized by airplanes soaring overhead—sparking a dream that would one day inspire generations to come.

In 2005, Jeanine earned her Wings of Gold, becoming the first Black female aviator in U.S. Coast Guard history. Her journey is a powerful reminder that vision, perseverance, and purpose can break barriers and redefine what’s possible.

We are honored to have you leading, mentoring, and opening doors for future aviators through Pilots of Promise. Your legacy continues to take flight. 🛫✨

Captain Theresa Claiborne undoubtedly has innumerable accomplishments and achievements. Some of the highlights include: 7 years USAF active duty 13 years USAF Reserves duty 34 years as a @united pilot (767 and 787) President of @sistersoftheskies And most recently, recipient of the Brigadier General Charles E.
