I have a saying that my old business professor used to say. “Practice makes master” with D HairXpert I believe that waiting on clients to learn or practice your haircuts in the end is not as productive. I have created a space where we will conduct weekly and monthly classes and workshops focusing on the basic fundamentals that most stylist lack mastery in.

When you graduate and take your state board you should have an idea of what salon you want to work at. During an interview chances are they will ask you to perform a long layered haircut on a model and they will be checking for speed, accuracy, sanitation and finish. That takes practice.

If you were to ask me what one of my other favorite things to do when it comes to hair other than color would be

HANDS DOWN: Razor Cutting! Like a good color and cut combo that only needs to be refreshed every 8-10 weeks depending on the client. I just zone out with a razor. It’s just geometry and creativity.

‼️🚨🚨IMPORTANT UPDATE

Growth requires focus! ✂️🎨

🗣️🗣️Starting August 1st, I will no longer offer standalone styling services (silk presses, rod sets, etc.) unless booked with a precision haircut, custom color, or relaxer/keratin treatment.

This shift allows me to focus on my core specialty services while making room for what’s next.

Don’t worry—full styling is still included with every cut, color, or texturizing service!

To make sure you all stay taken care of, I’m looking to hire 2 stylists to step in and handle standalone styling. If you or someone you know is looking for a space to work, send a DM!

¡El crecimiento exige enfoque, mi gente! ✂️🎨

🗣️🗣️A partir del 1 de agosto, ya no estaré ofreciendo servicios de peinado individuales (como silk press, rolos, etc.) a menos que vayan acompañados de un corte de precisión, color personalizado, o tratamiento de keratina/desrizado.

Este cambio me permite enfocarme al 100% en mis servicios de especialidad mientras le abro paso a lo nuevo.

Pero no se me preocupen! El peinado final sigue estando súper incluido con cada servicio de corte, color o texturizado.

Y para asegurarme de que todas sigan bien atendidas y bellas, estoy buscando contratar a 2 estilistas que se encarguen de los peinados individuales. Si tú o alguien que conoces está buscando un buen espacio para trabajar, ¡mándame un DM!
