A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at Bocelli’s for our final General PTSA Meeting of the 2025–2026 school year.

Last night was a powerful reminder of what community can do. Just hours before the meeting, we had zero nominees for next year’s PTSA Board. While that was certainly concerning, four incredible individuals stepped forward because they understood something important: our PTSA matters.

It matters to our school.
It matters to our teachers and staff.
It matters to our families.
And most importantly, it matters to our students. 💛

We are thrilled to officially introduce your 2026–2027 Madison PTSA Board:

As our school prepares for the transition to the Monroe campus, this new board will help guide the PTSA through change, continue building community, and ensure our students remain supported every step of the way.

And if there’s one thing we know… a PTSA board can do amazing things, but they can’t do it alone. ❤️

So to our Madison families, faculty, staff, and administration: your encouragement, ideas, volunteer hours, and support will make all the difference as we move into this next chapter together.

🏈📣 Important Update for Future High School Athletes 📣🏈

Attention Madison families — especially those with rising 9th graders or students planning to play high school sports in the future:

Beginning July 1, 2026, a new Florida law (the Second Chance Act) will require certain students to have a cleared ECG (heart screening) before participating in FHSAA high school athletics.

📌 Who this applies to:

* Rising 9th graders planning to play a high school sport
* Students in grades 10–12 who have never played a high school sport before

❗ Who this does NOT apply to:

* Middle school athletes
* Students in Band, Chorus, Orchestra, Color Guard, or ROTC

An ECG completed within 2 years of participation will meet the requirement.

To help families prepare, Hillsborough County Public Schools has partnered with local providers to offer free or low-cost ECG screenings.

We are incredibly grateful to our Madison community for your generosity and kindness. Thanks to your donations, we were able to assemble and deliver 25 Thanksgiving Blessing Bags to Mustangs in need. Each bag was filled with care, comfort, and the true spirit of giving.

A special thank you goes out to Coleman Middle School’s Student Government for contributing gift cards that were included in these blessing bags. Your partnership and support helped make these deliveries even more meaningful.
