We o-FISH-ally had a great time at camp this past week! 🐠 Campers learned all about the many creatures that live under the sea 🌊 We started our week off with dot painting many different sea animals such as fish, lobsters, dolphins, and stingrays! After a quick ocean-themed story time, campers went outside to play in the water! It was a GOREGOUS day β˜€οΈ Each child made a handprint crab and decorated a mermaid tail to take home πŸ¦€πŸ§œβ€β™€οΈ Campers explored their creative culinary side by decorating brownies bites with blue icing and placing teddy grahams and gummy life saver rings on top. Talk about tasty! πŸ˜‹ This week Santa’s little helpers will be trading the snow for sunshine πŸŽ…πŸΌ

Who knew counting to 10 could be this much fun? πŸŽ‰ Campers went over numbers 0-10 this week in the most fun and creative ways! Each child colored their own numbers and glued them to a large piece of paper to take home for continuous practice πŸ–οΈβœ‚οΈ We also had some fun playing silly playdoh games that included making playdoh numbers and balls to count πŸ€ͺ We took advantage of the BEAUTIFUL weather we had and played number games outside β˜€οΈ Campers had numbered hula hoops they ran to when the number was called out, played with beach balls, played in sandboxes and counted the dinosaurs in their box, and went on a few nature walks while identifying numbers we passed. We ended this week on a fun note by making necklaces, making pizzas from scratch and making personalized chocolate bars! πŸ˜‹ Stay tuned for next week when we make a splash in summer camp! 🌊

This week started our summer camp program! Our students learned about farming, strawberries, planting, and animals. Our first adventure included a special visit from our neighbor Randy Miller at Miller Charm Farm. Farmer Randy brought over a tractor and square bailer for the students to look at and explore. 🚜 We then had a special field trip to visit Farmer PJ and Farmer Ellie at Foot Hill Farm where we were able to see their animals, go on a tractor ride, and pick our own strawberries! πŸ“ Each child planted their own vegetable seeds in a flower pot to take home and continue growing over the summer. Our little farmers finished their week with more crafting and making delicious ice cream! 🍦Thank you to Farmer Randy, Farmer PJ, and Farmer Ellie for making our first week a big success! πŸ·πŸ°πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸŒΎπŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸŒΎπŸŒΎπŸ¦ƒπŸ“πŸ„
