Yay! Tomorrow is field trip day! We are so excited!! 🎉☀️

Here are a few reminders for tomorrow:
* Please remember your food tickets and your plaque if you are driving
* Privately driving families: arrive at 9:15 AM at Lake Tobias
* Bus riders: please be at school by 7:50 AM — the bus will leave promptly at 8:00 AM!

It’s going to be warm and sunny, so you may want to bring sunglasses and sunblock! 😎🌞

Mrs. Murphy’s AM & PM classes had a very special April monthly project! 🌎💚
To celebrate Earth Day, the children were asked to create something using recycled materials—and they did not disappoint! From artwork to decorations to even birdhouses, the creativity was absolutely amazing. ♻️✨
Thank you so much to all of our wonderful parents for helping with this project. I truly loved seeing each child’s unique creation and all the thought that went into them!

We had a very special visit from Miss Cheryl from the Schuylkill County IU, who came to Mrs. Murphy’s AM and PM 4-year-old classes! She read us the story Raindrop Plop, which was perfect for our rainy day. ☔️
While reading, the children did a wonderful job labeling pictures, answering questions, practicing opposites, and working on their counting skills. They also completed a fun sorting activity, deciding what we use or wear on sunny days versus rainy days. 🌞🌧️
The highlight of the visit was definitely our water activity! The kids had so much fun making predictions about whether different objects would sink or float—and they loved seeing if they were right!
Such a fun and meaningful way to celebrate Earth Day together! 💧🌱

Mrs. Russell's extended day class is busy growing all kinds of things! Thing 1 (our tadpole) is getting much bigger and his body is getting much wider! Each student also started growing 1 pumpkin seed and a few zinnia seeds. Over the weekend we already have some embryos growing! What good farmers I have!
