You already know how I feel but… 🙃
There’s just something special about a good mud puddle.. When kids splash, stomp, and explore, they’re doing more than getting messy.. they’re learning! Playing in a mud puddle encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity in a natural, CHILD-led way.
This simple activity supports emotional growth by giving them a sense of freedom, joy, and confidence, while helping them work through boundaries (if they want mud on their face or in their shoes, if they want to run and risk falling, or if they want to play it safe and tiptoe around) and self-expression. Socially, it builds connection through shared laughter and play. I mean just LOOK AT THEM! 🥹🫶🏼
Physically - jumping and splashing strengthens coordination, balance, and motor skills, while the sensory experience supports development and a healthy immune system (which we loooove at daycare)! 😉
Muddy puddles here mean happy kids, growing minds, and memories being made and we are alllllll for it. 🙌🏼🤎🌧️
