Master Yang Xiao D**g will be coming to town the week of August 8th to the 16th, and will be joining us for our 3rd 2026 Taiji in the Park on Saturday, August 8th from 10:00am to 11:30am, and will be in place of our regular BMH Saturday class at the Nat. We have scheduled our next Taiji in the Park for 2026. It will be on Sunday, July 5th, from 10:00am to 11:30am. The location is the same as before, Water Works Park in Cuyahoga Falls.

We had a great time on a beautiful day at our first Taiji in the Park event of the year. Thanks to all those that turned up to play some taijiquan. We will schedule another one soon.

There has been a change in plans! Please note, due to the weather, Body-Mind Harmony will be celebrating World Taiji Day tomorrow at the Natatorium in our regular location.

There will be no class at the Natatorium on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, as we will be celebrating World Taiji & Qigong Day. This is a day when people from all around the globe will be playing Taiji and doing Qigong exercises to generate a positive and healthy spirit throughout the world. Students from Body-Mind Harmony, the Wu Tang Center for Martial Arts, Summa Health Wellness Center, and SAGE will be gathering at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) 750 White Pond Dr., Akron, OH 44320. We will be getting started at 9:30 AM at the pavilion behind the JCC. There is no charge to attend.

This Saturday, 4/18, we will be heading to Maple Heights for the Great Lakes Martial Arts Tournament. Several Body-Mind Harmony students will be competing on Saturday. Therefore, there won't be a class at the NAT on Saturday morning.

Also, please note that the following Saturday morning, 4/25, we will be gathering for World Taiji & Qigong Day at the JCC. Thus, there will be no class at the NAT on 4/25.

The Center for Body-Mind Harmony reached a major milestone by closing operations at the Bailey Road Plaza and moving operations into the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium. On Saturday, January 3rd, we held our first BMH class at the Nat. Everything went very well and we are looking forward to continuing with the new BMH classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as our regular Wednesday evening advanced and beginner taiji classes.

To celebrate this move, we are gathering on Saturday, January 10th at the Royal Buffet and Grill at 4:00pm. We hope that you can join us, even if it is just to stop by and say hi! If you plan to attend, would you please let us know via email or in the comments here, so that we can let the restaurant know how many people to expect.

Also, please mark your calendar for February 21st, as we will be celebrating the Lunar New Year at the Royal Buffet and Grill. More information will follow in a few weeks.

Tomorrow morning (Saturday 1/3) is the first Body-Mind Harmony class at the Natatorium. Class will start at 10:00 AM (not the 9:15 previously reported). The Center on Bailey Road is now officially closed.

The Center for Body-Mind Harmony is moving to the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium! This new program, consisting of three classes per week, is completely separate from the current taiji classes offered at the Nat on Wednesdays. Classes will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:15 to 8:45 pm, and Saturdays from 9:15 to 10:45 am. The Wednesday classes will remain as they are.

The Natatorium in Cuyahoga Falls

We are holding our next Taiji in the Park on Sunday, September 21st. The time and location will be the same as before; 9:00am to around 10:30am at the Water Works Park in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Drive past the Water Works Family Aquatic Center, under the
Railroad Bridge, and turn left to the parking lot. Depending upon
the weather, we can play in the open, under the shade of trees or
under the cover of a pavilion.

As we have done in the past, we will do some warmups, play Yang's 32 Taijiquan a few times, then break into smaller groups to play whatever martial arts people are most interested in playing.
