🗳️ GET READY TO VOTE!

We want to ensure that any Tallmadge resident that needs help registering to vote, confirming their polling location or finding an alternative to voting in person on Election Day, has the resources they need. This post is designed to help!

✅ Register or check your registration

Register to vote, check your registration status or update your address here:

The deadline to register or update your address for the November 3 election is Monday, October 5.

📬 Vote absentee by mail

Request an absentee ballot here:
https://www.ohiosos.gov/elections/request-an-absentee-ballot/

Absentee ballots will begin being mailed on October 6. Your completed absentee-ballot application must be received by the Board of Elections by the close of business on October 27.

Completed ballots must be received by the Summit County Board of Elections no later than 7:30 p.m. on November 3. If returning your ballot by mail, please mail it early enough to arrive by the deadline.

The Cool Beans Coffee Cart is in full action at TES again this year! Teachers can purchase coffee from this student-run shop, with proceeds helping to fund community outings and experiences for participating students. Along the way, students gain valuable real-world skills, including communication, customer service, money management, teamwork, following directions, and taking responsibility for a job. It’s a great way for students to build confidence and independence while serving up a little extra energy for TES staff!

FINANCE FRIDAY - What’s Already Come Out of the Budget?

We often hear the question, “Can the district make more cuts?”

It’s a fair question, and one worth looking at closely.

Over the past two years, Tallmadge City Schools has made significant reductions across transportation, staffing, administration, programs and operations. As we continue planning for the future, the conversation is increasingly about not just whether additional reductions can be made, but what those reductions would mean for students.

This week’s Finance Friday takes a look at what has already come out of the district’s “backpack” and what we are working to protect.

Tallmadge High School junior Justin McDaniel has been selected for the prestigious Ohio Music Education Association All-State Band!

Justin earned his place among just 92 talented student musicians selected from across Ohio after submitting an audition featuring two college-level pieces.

This incredible honor reflects his hard work, focus and dedication. Justin will perform at the OMEA Professional Development Conference in Columbus in late January. Congratulations, Justin!
