While many people think of summer as a time to slow down, this team did the exact opposite. They showed up early, worked through the heat, loaded vehicles, packed meals, greeted families with smiles and made sure children in our community (and beyond) had access to nutritious meals when school wasn't in session.

This summer, a total of 156,373 meals were served to children. Tonight, this team was recognized during the Superintendent’s Spotlight portion of the August Board Meeting for their efforts of serving the children and families in our community.

The summer feeding team extends beyond those shown in this picture. We are grateful and thankful for everyone’s hard work, dedication and the fruits of their labor!

Congratulations, Ms.Tucker! This summer, Haralson County Middle School 7th-grade math teacher Jennifer Tucker was recognized as a Mathematics Champion by the Georgia Department of Education.

Yesterday, the Georgia Department of Education released the scores for all schools and systems for Math, Science, and Social Studies Milestones. We are excited to announce that once again Haralson County students are top performers in the state. We can expect the release of ELA scores later this fall.

Haralson County Schools is committed to providing every student in our school community with all the tools they need to succeed, including nutritious meals. We are excited to announce that we will continue the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) while participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2026.27 school year.

All students in grades Pre-K through 12th grade must complete an annual student update. If the process has not been completed by Thursday, July 30th, your child will be withdrawn on Friday, July 31st. If you need assistance completing this process, school staff will be available at Haralson County High School on Tuesday, July 21st, and Thursday, July 23rd, from 8 to 5. If you need help getting into Infinite Campus, you can contact your child's school between 8 and 3.

Even during summer break, learning continues at Haralson County Schools!

During June, several of our instructional coaches and administrators attended a three-day literacy conference to deepen their knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices, collaborate with educators from across the state, and bring back ideas that will strengthen teaching and learning throughout our district.

We are also proud to share that our Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. Brandi Johnson and BES Assistant Principal, Kathy Campbell were selected to present a breakout session titled “Building Strong Coaching Systems: Twenty Years of Growth Through Relationships.” Their presentation highlighted our district’s two-decade journey of developing a coaching model built on collaboration, trust, and strong relationships between district leaders, school administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers.

We are proud of our team for investing their time and expertise to ensure Haralson County students continue to benefit from high-quality instruction and a culture of continuous improvement.
