We are proud to welcome Mark Wheeler as a 2026 HIPS Hall of Famer! 👏 He has dedicated over 40 years to advancing public safety through leadership, training, and service. A 30-year veteran of the Tallahassee Police Department, he served as a lieutenant with leadership roles in tactical operations, homeland security, training, and special investigations. Since retirement, Mark has trained thousands of officers across Florida and is widely recognized for his impact on fi****ms instruction, officer survivability, and professional policing standards. His discipline, mentorship, and commitment to excellence continue to shape the next generation of law enforcement professionals.

Chief Joel “Lee” Majors has dedicated his career to advancing aviation and special operations within the Leon County Sheriff’s Office through leadership, innovation, and service. Rising through the ranks from commanding the Aviation Bureau to leading the Special Operations Division, he has overseen highly specialized teams supporting law enforcement efforts across the region. In recognition of his lasting impact on public safety and unwavering commitment to the community, TSC is proud to honor him with a HIPS 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award.
