USGBC announced that the Green Building Certification Institute has certified the 10,000th LEED commerical project.

We are a student based organization formed to promote green building design through building materials and techniques.
We are not yet a chapter of USGBC Students, but we will be applying when the application process re-opens in the Fall of 2009.

Its that time of year folks. We need to grow our student group even larger and have our first fall meeting. Next week sometime we will set a date for our first meeting of this new year. Check your emails for the date. I hope to see you all there.

tours will be self guided, so you can choose to visit farms that offer lectures
on gardening, hay rides or barnyard animals among many other activities. Fresh
produce, dairy, wine, and other locally made goodies will be available for

Power Shift 2009 Power Shift 2009: mobilize, network, learn, teach, make a statement, and lobby congress to make some real progress on global warming!
Volunteers are needed to work with children and the community to maintain the Frenchtown Community Center garden, including planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting. This agency uses gardens to teach nutritional and environmental education. Dress appropriately for gardening, including close-toed shoes. Sign up at the Center for Leadership & Civic Education. They leave from the Center every Thursday at 4:30 PM.
GARNET & GOLD GOES GREEN Volunteers are needed at each home football game to encourage Seminole fans to recycle! Come help us out and you’ll receive a newly designed FSU-themed GGGG shirt and service hours! We can accommodate any sized group, so bring your friends or sign up your student organization.
