Strengthening Marriages and Families! No family left behind! Live the Life believes that the founda

Live the Life believes that the foundation of our great country is our families, and that every child deserves a strong, healthy family. We work with children and adults all over the state, and through our coaching, counseling, classes, and retreats, we are able to improve relationships, strengthen marriages, and keep families together.

Operating as usual

What do you do when your spouse is not meeting your needs?

Better yet, is it ok to expect your spouse to meet your needs? We address all these questions and more in Adventures in Marriage, but we want to let you in on a little secret even if you haven’t taken the class.

We ALL have needs!!! It’s how we were created…to need each other. We need each other for love, affirmation, kindness, encouragement, connection and bonding!

It is ok (even healthy) to have needs and learn to express those needs to your spouse in a healthy way. Of course we aren’t saying your spouse can always meet ALL your needs. That would be a lot of pressure and an unrealistic expectation, however it is imperative in marriage that we learn what our spouse’s needs are and how we can love them well by meeting those needs at times.

Guess what?! If you don’t know how to do this, we can teach you HOW!!! This is what couples who take the Adventures in Marriage class learn how to do so that instead of walking around with an empty cup looking for someone or something else to fill it up (usually people or things outside our marriage), we can have our needs met within our marriage and be “full cups” walking around ready to fill others up!

If this is new information to you and you want a healthy marriage where you and your spouse know how to meet one another’s needs (and actually know what they are), then this class may just be for you! We would love to help you out with this!!

Comment the word “needs” below & we willl DM you some information on our classes where you can learn how to bond & connect with your spouse & meet one another’s needs in a healthy and beautiful way!

Many couples are asking the question:

What is Adventures in Marriage all about?

It is a program specifically designed to teach you how to Bond & Connect with your spouse through communication tools that you will be taught and then have the opportunity to practice during the class, with a coach who can come alongside you & help you to do the skill correctly!

Every single thing we teach in the class is for the purpose of teaching you how to Bond and Connect with your spouse on a deeper level than you can even imagine!

So if you want a marriage where you can be open and honest and understood and have deep level bonding, then this course may just be for you!!

If you’re interested in knowing more about how you can deepen your understanding of your spouse & grow your bond together, comment CONNECT in the comments below & we will send you some more information about our classes

There are many misconceptions about po*******hy and one of which is that "it's no big deal," but research AND the Word of God agree that it is a HUGE deal and causes so many problems in society!

Who’s ready for some stories? This is just a sample of what our couples are saying about our Adventures in Marriage Weekends!

We are so excited to hear from each of our couples after they take this class together. The impact it makes on their marriage will have a rippling effect on everyone around them - their family, their friends, their children, their grandchildren…literally for generations to come!!

This is why we do what we do here at Live the Life! We love helping couples transform their marriage from good to great or from struggling to thriving!

If you’ve taken an Adventures in Marriage Class and you haven’t shared feedback with us, we’d love to hear from you! Feel free to leave us a google review (or just comment below if you prefer).

AND…if you HAVEN’T taken this class, we want to offer it to you and your spouse, so check out all the classes available at or you can also head to to check out the availabilities as well!

Let us help you transform your marriage today into something your kids will be proud of of and can learn & grow from!

"Our culture says that feelings of love are the basis for actions of love. And of course that can be true. But it is truer to say that actions of love can lead consistently to feelings of love"

This quote by Timothy Keller is so counter-culture but completely lines up with the word of God.

Have you found this to be true in your marriage...that feelings follow actions (not necessarily the other way around)? How are you "acting in love" toward your spouse even when you don't "feel love" toward your spouse?

If you surveyed 100 people and asked them what is the definition of L O V E, chances are that you would get 100 different answers. In addition, probably many of those answers would involve feelings of happiness.

This month we are focusing on what LOVE truly is & what it looks like in marriage, and the fact is that there will be plenty of times in marriage that you WON'T be HAPPY.

Let's face it. Marriage can be hard and we won't always be on the same page or won't always meet each other's needs perfectly, but....pursuing your own happiness in your marriage will only lead to 2 discontented spouses & a disaster of a marriage.

So instead of focusing on what our own definition of love is and focusing on your own happiness, what if we focus instead on how the Word of God defines Love:

LOVE = patient
LOVE = kind
LOVE = humble
Love = honoring
Love = putting others above yourself
Love = forgiving

If we focus on our spouse's happiness & meeting their needs & putting them above ourselves, then THAT is what can make for a beautiful marriage, that is not wasted, but rather a testimony of the way Christ loves us.

National Marriage Week originated in the United States as a collaborative effort to celebrate and promote the importance of marriage and strong family relationships. Established in 2010, this annual observance occurs during the second week of February, leading up to Valentine’s Day. The initiative was driven by a desire to address the challenges faced by marriages and families, recognizing the pivotal role they play in the well-being of individuals and society at large. National Marriage Week encourages various organizations, communities, and individuals to participate by hosting events, sharing resources, and promoting the significance of building and maintaining healthy marriages. The week serves as a reminder of the enduring value of marital commitment and provides an opportunity for couples to strengthen their bonds while fostering a culture that supports strong and lasting marriages.

Did you know it’s possible to be fully known AND fully loved?!

This is such a powerful quote by & rings true especially with regards to marriage.

We all want to feel loved but sometimes worry that if someone knew us well, they wouldn’t love us anymore. Sometimes that keeps us from being vulnerable with each other and sharing our hearts and the depths of our souls with our spouse.

Then the more we pull away from one another emotionally, the greater the divide becomes between us and the bond and connection breaks down. Then we began to drift from another and sometimes to someone else. This is where the reality of divorce sometimes begins.

One of the things we teach in our Adventures in Marriage Program is how to be fully known AND fully loved by each other. It really is possible and we’ve seen hundreds of couples experience exactly this while going through our Adventures in Marriage workshop.

If you’re interested in learning more, check out our link in bio or copy/paste link below!

We’d love to help you and your spouse experience this as well!

Does your spouse feel like..

They can’t do anything right? Do they feel constantly defeated? If so, then there’s something powerful you can do to help them!

If you are the kind of spouse that discourages your spouse when they fail and berates them, then changing this one simple habit can really turn your marriage around!

The next time your spouse “fails” (or lets even just say the next time they do something differently than we would do it or expect them to do it), try encouraging them and telling them you believe in them!

Giving our spouse grace can make all the difference in their confidence and really help them succeed the next time they try something that is challenging!

We have all received the grace of God, so we need to allow God to use us to show grace to others, especially our spouse.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ - God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

If this is something you need to work on, you’re in good company. We all can do better in this area. So one way to do that is to ask God for help. Pray and ask Him to give you grace for your spouse and understanding and patience and words of life to speak over your spouse when they are struggling.

Today is a good day to start this! Tag your spouse in comments and let them know you believe in them and are a support for them.

We are here for you! Keep fighting for your marriages!

Did you know that there’s more than one kind of Intimacy?

Emotional and Physical Intimacy go hand in hand. If one is broken then the other probably is as well.

It’s so vital to be sure that your emotional intimacy is in a good place in your marriage and one of the ways to do that is NOT keeping secrets!!

We’ll share more later about what kinds of secrets destroy intimacy. For now, just remember that a marriage full of secrets will eventually be a broken marriage, because it breaks down trust!

Full Disclosure in Marriage is the healthiest kind of marriage! Leave a 👍🏼 if you agree. If you disagree, feel free to respectfully let us know why as well in comments. We’re always open to respectful conversations 😊

There's no better time than the end of year or beginning of a new year to make time to enjoy your spouse and laugh together!!

When life gets too serious and you feel like nothing is going right in your relationship, just take some time out & be silly together.

Watch a silly movie or have a snowball fight ❄️ (use waded up paper if you don't have snow 😂 ) or maybe even have a Wii dance competition (watching each others terrible dance moves will bring laughter for sure 🤭).

But whatever you do, just remember to take some time out of your seriousness and busy schedules to laugh together.

It brings connection and can heal so much when relationships feel too deep or overwhelming

Is it OK go not always "like" each other?

Well some days are harder than others in Marriage! Some days we may get irritated with each other and things we say and do may land the wrong way on our spouse.

It is perfectly normal that some days you may not always "like" each other! But that's not what Love is about anyway.

It's not about the feelings but rather a about the choosing!

So if you've had moments of not liking each other (especially during the holidays - which can take a toll), then welcome to normal! Don't let that discourage you and make you think you're not meant to be married.

Keep choosing to Love each other and the like will follow eventually. BUT even if it doesn't, don't give up! Your marriage needs you and your family needs you!

We are cheering you on! You've got this!

Merry Christmas from all of us at Live the Life!

Our hearts are filled with wonder and joy not only because of Christ but also because of all of you & what you each mean to us!

We love yall & pray blessings upon you and yours as you celebrate the birth of our Savior!

📸 This picture captures the very essence of why Live The Life was born. Meet the dynamic duo, Richard and Elizabeth ! If you've been to one of our retreats, you might've heard this heartwarming story before.

👫 Picture this: They were coaching a marriage class, and Richard asked Elizabeth to rate their marriage. Her answer? A modest 2/10! 🤯

In front of the class they were supposed to guide, Elizabeth stood her ground. Richard couldn't believe it. He explained that a 10 is a perfect marriage, but Elizabeth remained resolute. 🤷‍♀️

It was a turning point. This incident made Richard realize the importance of focusing on their own relationship. They delved into discussions, and Richard's commitment to strengthening marriages and families grew even stronger. Why? Because he saw the very real risk of losing his own.

From that low 2/10 score to empowering thousands of couples with the tools and skills to build stronger bonds for 25 incredible years, Richard and Elizabeth's dedication is awe-inspiring. 🙌

This picture is the cornerstone of our journey, the reason behind our offices across Florida! 🌴
