Our first New Student Orientation of the summer kicked off yesterday, and the energy has been unmatched! From meeting future classmates and learning campus traditions to taking their first steps as FAMU students, our newest admitted students are already making memories that will last a lifetime.

We are so excited to welcome the Class of 2030 and can’t wait to see all of the amazing things you’ll accomplish here at FAMU!

Future Rattlers, the countdown is on!

Fall 2026 transfer applications are due in just 2 weeks. If you’re planning to transfer to FAMU, be sure to submit your application by June 15 to be considered for admission.

Please note: The application deadline is not the same as the document deadline. Students will have an additional 2–3 weeks after June 15 to submit required documents such as official transcripts and other supporting materials.

The Eternal Flame was added to Florida A&M University’s campus in 1997 to honor Time Magazine naming FAMU the 1997–1998 College of the Year.

We’ve loved seeing so many admitted Rattlers already securing their spots, signing up for orientation, and preparing for move in season! If you haven’t completed your next steps yet, this is your reminder to get started now. 👀

✅ STEP 1: Submit your $150 enrollment deposit to secure your spot and unlock your next steps
• Summer B admitted students: deposit deadline is TOMORROW, May 15
• Fall admitted students: deposit deadline is May 29

✅ STEP 2: Register for orientation through your application portal
Orientation is MANDATORY for all incoming freshmen

✅ STEP 3: Complete your housing application and submit your $200 housing deposit
Incoming freshmen are required to live on campus and housing assignments are already starting to go out! 👏🏾
