Your professor isn’t against you—they’re here to help you succeed.
Throughout this series, one thing stays true: how you show up matters. Effort, communication, and perspective all make a difference.
Start small—introduce yourself, ask a question, or stop by office hours.

🎓 What Professors Wish You Knew Perfection isn’t what your professors are looking for—effort is.
Consistently showing up, asking questions, and applying feedback makes a real difference. Effort reflects commitment—and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Today’s Student Spotlight welcomes Isabella Arechavaleta from our MS in Elementary Education
“I have been student teaching in second grade at Bond Elementary for nearly a year, a path inspired by my mother, who is my greatest influence and motivation. I am deeply involved in both the classroom and the school community, including collaborating with Mrs. Akiesha Dupree to help launch the Bond Elementary Food Bank. As the food bank’s social media coordinator, I manage marketing efforts and outreach to potential sponsors and donors, helping connect local Tallahassee organizations with students in need. My students and mentors, especially Mrs. Clara Hampton, keep me motivated every day. Long-term, I hope to remain in the classroom while continuing nonprofit and community-based work that supports and uplifts local students.”
