Old School Denim & Statement Tees Dance Part II...

Photos from Famu High School Alumni Association's post 07/22/2025

A time was had during day 2, event 3 - the Old School Denim & Statement Tees Dance. The room was filled with laugher, remember whens, dancing, and that good ole Baby Rattler spirit. The album covers, yearbooks, and Rattler paraphernalia that adorned the tables, added to the nostalgia of the moment. Sonya Waters of LUXE personal chef & catering services LLC, delivered on a second great meal for the day. After preparing a delicious lunch for the group that afternoon, she and her team prepared a perfect menu for the dance. DJ Ace kept the Baby Rattlers on the floor - some literally on the floor. Liniment was likely the most used product when the Rattlers made it home. Baby Rattler, Saprecia "Pre" Jefferson, class of 2002, provided the beautiful backdrop of the photos. Darius Doc D Baker was an excellent host and the Baby Rattlers thoroughly enjoyed the TNL venue.

Day 2 of the FAMU High All Classes Reunion started with the Queen Bruton African American Heritage Tour. It is a very popular component of the reunion activities. Several landmarks were added to the tour this year, including the Dr. Carolyn Ryals Way, which is named in honor of our beloved teacher and mentor. This year's tour was generously sponsored by the Class of 1985.

Many thanks to our Baby Rattler FAMUly for making the 2025 FAMU High All Classes Reunion a huge success! There were so many special moments during the 4-day weekend, commencing with the Alumni Mixer & Business Expo and ending with the Unity Prayer Breakfast. We loved seeing the classes come together, especially those celebrating their milestone dates - 1975, 1980, and 1985. Some classmates had not seen each other since graduation - more than 45 years in some cases. The most senior graduate in attendance was a 1953 alumna. We also welcomed
several first-time participants who have indicated that they plan to attend future reunions. One of the most beautiful things we observed was Baby Rattlers who were meeting for the first time but genuinely connecting as if they had known each other for decades. That Baby Rattler connection is real! And we beat Rickards in the Alumni Basketball Game!!! ๐Ÿ€

This is the first batch of photos. They were taken during the Alumni Mixer & Business Expo on Thursday evening. Feel free to tag and share...

Until next time... Cynthia & Jennifer
