We had a full week! Did you know we celebrated our incredible teachers and staff during Rickards Teacher Appreciation Week? To show our appreciation, we called our friends at Big B’s BBQ & Grille, and they truly delivered. They catered a feast for our staff—over 130 juicy burgers and perfectly grilled chicken sandwiches, paired with their mouth-watering mac & cheese, savory baked beans, and crisp, refreshing coleslaw.

But President Walker and Advisor White didn’t stop there. To add a sweet ending to the celebration, we also served up some “very healthy” (lol) ice cream sundaes for our amazing teachers and staff. With scoops of creamy vanilla ice cream and all the toppings, it was the perfect treat to bring a few extra smiles to the people who work tirelessly for our students every day.

It was a small way to say thank you to the outstanding educators and staff who make Raider Nation special. 💙

Good morning, everyone,

Today we would like to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible members of our front office team who make a difference in the lives of students, faculty, staff, and our entire Rickards community each day: Ms. Martin (front desk), Ms. Jackson (front desk), Ms. Nathan (guidance secretary), Mrs. Washington-Williams (attendance secretary), Mrs. Freda Jackson-Thomas (principal secretary), Mrs. Loriston (bookkeeper), and Mrs. Allen (registrar).

Their dedication, professionalism, and kindness help keep our school running smoothly and create a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

This morning, my advisors and I had the pleasure of treating them to a Chick-fil-A breakfast with our theme: "It's our pleasure to celebrate you!" as a small token of our appreciation.

We hope this gesture brightens your morning just as you all brighten our days throughout the year.
On behalf of all of us, thank you for everything you do. We truly appreciate you!
