Hello and Happy New Year, . In case you have not heard yet, B&F Ministry has another book set to release next month! We really wanted to try to get this one out during the holidays since the topic is about hospitality. But then that's the point of the book. Hospitality is not just for special occasions. It's a lifestyle! If you would like to learn more and share in our perspective on God's hospitality with us and all of creation, set your reminder for February 13, 2024. There are so many things that we can take away from the many examples of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. For us, this quote applies in all situations of our lives, including our personal relationships. As you plan to enjoy the festivities of today, please be safe, kind, and respectful to one another as you create more memories of good times together.
Happy day of Gratitude! Today may not be the day we planned for, but we are still here to make it a day that counts. We still have been given the opportunity to make it GREAT. As we move through this day of thankfulness, we'd love for anyone who sees this post to share what they are grateful for. Not just for today, but share something that is meaningful to you and carries you through this holiday season.
From our family to you and yours. Make it a great day. 😊
We are looking forward to reconnecting again. So much to share for 2024. In the meantime, enjoy your day of gratitude!
Dealing with how to let go of some hurts that you've survived? This is a wonderful ministry to look into. 😊
Take small actionable steps in order to reach your big goals!
Let's normalize not embarrassing our spouses in public for things they struggle with in private. It's really a passive aggressive response to our own needs we haven't learned how to discuss with them.
Covering our spouse is not hiding their shortcomings but protecting both of us from unnecessary judgment and ridicule of others. Besides, "putting them on blast" in public is not a guarantee that we will get the response or support from others that we think we're going to get. Sometimes it simply highlights how we ourselves are struggling with the issue and unwilling to work together to conquer it.
So, how do we deal with shortcomings that fester? Make an appointment with a 3rd party that you both trust, and talk/work through it... together. But remember! Talking/working through the issue can reveal our own shortcomings as well; the part(s) we play in the situation. We must also be willing to do the work, whatever that is. The goal is to get to a better more healthier "us".
Change happens, even some that are uninvited. Instead of seeing its arrival as a problem, let's start looking for the good it can bring. Sometimes, it comes with answers we've been praying for. They're just not always packaged the way we think they should be. Either way, live life and love loud through it all. That's something that doesn't have to change.
These deliveries never get old. Time to make the wedding gift sets! If you are looking for something different to gift to a couple on their special day, look into our "For This Reason" gift sets at the link below:

Lions, otters, retrievers! Oh my! (You had to be there!) 😂
Yes, we took a break last week. This evening we came back to complete the Communication unit, and we had an amazing night! We learned some practical and spiritual aspects of the way we communicate with one another in relationships and possible reasons why we respond the way we do to one another especially during conflict. This is a great segue into our final focus, forgiveness. When we can communicate better, forgiveness can become easier. 😌
Marriage is Not a Shortcut to Maturity Marriage is intended by God as a union of two complete persons. It is only when two mature and whole individuals come together in marriage that their union will be complete. Marriage is not designed to be a shortcut to maturity, a way of completing yourself. Rather, God designed marriage as a way fo...

Getting ready for tonight's class. This topic is so rich, we always have to choose which parts to share for each class. Maybe that's because there is "a lot to be said" when it comes to communication. 😂
We are having a great time in class! In fact, we are having so much FUN, it was a bit difficult to CONTROL ourselves this last class and keep the PEACE for a PERFECT evening. 🤣 You had to be there for the intro to our next topic: Communication.
As you can see, each participant left class with a demonstration of what our communication can look like depending on "where we come from". The next couple of weeks will... "speak" for themselves.😂
Alright, that was the last joke! We promise. 😁
Fine! Let’s Talk About the Smiths Everyone is still discussing the slap heard all around the world. However, what is everyone actually talking about?
