An inspiring evening celebrating the creativity of Maclay’s student artists.
Families and friends gathered for the opening of the 5th Annual Come Together Art Show, showcasing remarkable work from across our Upper School. Congratulations to this year’s award recipients presented by Head of School James Milford:
The Elaine Cochran Memorial Award: Ashlyn Brown, “Golden Hour”
The Marauder Inspiration Award: Alice Frazee, “The Fall”
The Purchase Award: Melody Yu, “Distant Memories” — now part of Maclay’s permanent collection.
New this year, Awards of Distinction recognized three artists whose work stood out for creativity, skill, and vision:

Our 8th graders hit the road for the annual Civil Rights Trip through Alabama and Georgia — visiting the places, monuments, and museums they’ve studied in the classroom and bringing history to life. A powerful, unforgettable experience.

Proud of our Maclay DECA students at the State Competition! Special shoutout to Rory Earlywine for placing 10th in the state in Finance and earning a spot at the International DECA Conference in Atlanta next month. 🎉 Congrats to Manny Arisso, Max Colon, Luke Daunt, Caroline Couch, Rory Earlywine, Layla Hafez, Charlotte LeDu, and Nidhi Ponnaghanti for representing Maclay so well!

Félicitations to our French students because that’s a lot of ribbons! 🏆 Maclay earned 2nd place overall at Le Congrès de la Culture Française en Floride. Highlights include Supérieur ratings for their performance of Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme, Project, Album, and poetry recitation. So proud of these Marauders!

Junior Keya Patel has been named one of the Tallahassee Democrat’s “25 Women You Need to Know” – Young Women to Know honorees. Selected for her impact on the Tallahassee community, Keya is among five young women recognized in this year’s program, which celebrates inspiring leaders and changemakers. Now in its 20th year, the initiative continues to highlight individuals making a meaningful difference in our community.

Maclay math students closed out the regional competition season with an incredible showing at FSUS. Competing against 13 schools, Maclay took 1st place overall!
Highlights include Kai Okui earning District Champion in Calculus, 1st place team finishes in Calculus and Precalculus, and strong individual results across multiple divisions. Maclay Middle students also delivered impressive finishes in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry.
