Our Special Area Team planned a spectacular STEAM Day for our Mustangs! Students learned all about plants and pollination. They even decorated and took home their very own flower pot! Special thanks to our friends from Alpha Delta Kappa for their contribution to this project. They generously purchased flower pots and markers and bagged all of the soil!

3rd Grade TAG students are learning all about The Liberty Bell!

Our friends from Experience Church had a busy morning of serving our school and we are so grateful! These artistic ladies brought our lower primary courtyard to LIFE! Our little Mustangs are going to LOVE it🎉🎉‼️ THANK YOU, Experience Church, for the many ways you love and care for our school. There’s because of you!

Pre-K is learning all about insects! Friends from Orkin came out and spoke with the children about how they can help keep pests away by cleaning up after themselves and not wearing others’ hats or using their brushes 🥰. There’s because learning is FUN!

Maria Norvell, Emily Whidden, and Preston Brady from the Keep Climbing Family Foundation, visited our campus today for Read Across America Day!

Our Kindergarten, Second Grade, and Third Grade students were great listeners and fun was had by all. There’s because of community outreach and strong partnerships!

Our 1st Graders had so much fun today with their Super- Clean Sweep Challenge!! They cleaned up the playground and got the gardens ready for planting. There’s because of these little leaders!

Congratulations to our Student of the Month, Amelia P.! Amelia is a ray of sunshine!! She is determined, she is kind, she’s a dutiful patrol, and she meets our Mustang expectations every single day by being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN! We are grateful to Superintendent Hanna, Elementary Director Anicia Robinson, and Leon County Schools for recognizing these outstanding students across our district! Living History Wax Museum Part 2!

Our 5th Grade scholars absolutely blew us away with their Living History Wax Museum in honor of Black History Month! Students and families walked through the 5th grade center (Museum😉) and encountered history makers from the past and present who came “alive” at the touch of a button and shared all about their lives and their works. We are so incredibly PROUD of our 5th grade scholars!

TODAY WAS THE BIG DAY!!! Our Mustang Stampede Fun Run was AMAZING! We absolutely CRUSHED OUR GOAL, and we had fun at our big celebration today! There’s because we work together to HELP OUR SCHOOL! 🎉🎉🎉

We absolutely love it when our friends from Sea-To-See come to visit! 4th Graders had a ball with the touch tanks, which included hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, calico crabs and a starfish! 🎉🎉🎉

Our food pantry is STOCKED thanks to the generosity of our school community! Our NEHS scholars did a magnificent job of coordinating our food drive, Mustangs Helping Mustangs! Thank you, W. T. Moore Elementary School, for having us as part of your Science Expo earlier this week. We had a lot of fun teaching your Kindergarteners and 1st Graders what seeds need to germinate and explore with them the different types of seeds plants produce. 🌱

Our National Elementary Honors Society scholars enjoyed an afternoon of STEAM yesterday with their awesome sponsors, Mrs. Finkbeiner and Ms. Greiner!

Our first ever coin drive was a HUGE success thanks to W. T. Moore Elementary School ! Throughout Literacy Week, students brought change to their classrooms. Some nickles here, a handful of dimes there...it all adds up! Your contributions are so appreciated!

Moore is so proud to salute Amir T.! He did an OUTSTANDING JOB representing our school at the district-wide Tropicana Speech Contest this past Saturday. Amir, there are no limits to what you can accomplish; we are honored that you are a Mustang! There’s because of awesome kids like Amir!

We finished the most exciting “Celebrate Literacy Week” with an Ocean Parade! We are so PROUD of all of our Mustang Readers who poured such energy and enthusiasm into an amazing week!

1st Grade celebrated the 101st day of school today! The students dressed as Dalmatians, made a craft and watched the movie, 101 Dalmations! After back to back days of celebrating the 100th and 101st days of school there were a lot of tired puppies in 1st grade this afternoon!

Mrs. Smith’s 5th Graders celebrated their 1000th day of school on the 100th Day! It’s so hard to believe that these Mustangs will be off to middle school soon. There will always be because of them!

The CUTEST Kindergarteners in the whole wide world turned into 100 year olds to celebrate the 100th Day of School!! 100 Days Smarter, 100 Days Brighter, 100 Days more KIND! There’s because of these Kindergarten Cuties!

It’s CELEBRATE LITERACY WEEK, and we decided to DROP EVERYTHING & READ this morning! Some cozied up with a book, some read on their Chromebooks, some read with a buddy, others made tents under their desks and dove into a great book. There are so many ways to enjoy literacy!

Students in Mrs. Brylow’s and Mrs. Leggett’s classes used chocolate chip cookies and different tools and techniques to learn all about erosion! There’s because scholars are engaged and invested in learning!

3rd Graders in Ms. Greiner’s class learned about buoyancy by testing whether an egg would be more buoyant and float in freshwater or salt water! They also built life preservers to try to keep a can of soup afloat! There’s because learning is FUN!

Ms. Massey’s students went on a hunt for “icing” for their “synonym rolls” 🤣. Learning is FUN when students are challenged and engaged🎉. Oh what fun they had learning all about synonyms today!

The second session of STEAM Club started today! These excited Mustangs had an amazing afternoon learning with Mrs. Lozowski!

We absolutely LOVED having so many amazing parents serve as “Mystery Readers” today in our classrooms! There’s because of their dedication and support towards our school!

Learning in Pre-K is so much fun! Students are learning all about insects through so many engaging activities. There’s because of Ms. Jaquet, Mrs. Papa, Ms. Aulph, and all of their little learners!

Our Moore Mustangs “buddied up” and had fun today with Literacy! Fifth grade visited our First graders, Kindergarten welcomed Fourth grade students, and Second grade spent time with Third grade friends. What a great way to kick off our fun-filled “Celebrate Literacy” week!

CONGRATULATIONS to De’Asia and Kamari, Moore’s Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dreamers and Doers honorees for 2023! These amazing students personify Dr. King’s ideals daily and we are so very proud of them!

Our Kindergarten students enjoyed a fun, penguin themed STEAM day! The students rotated through classrooms where they did subtraction with goldfish, built icebergs using numbers to 20, measured themselves to see if they were taller or shorter than the emperor penguin, created a word problem with penguins in snow and even incorporated some Art to do a penguin directed drawing!
