Climate change is the biggest challenge facing the health of our planet. And while it will take many solutions working together to make a difference, trees are the proven, affordable, natural way that can be implemented quickly to pull carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere today. Every tree planted is a step in the right direction.

HOW LONG SHOULD THOSE THANKSGIVING LEFTOVERS LAST? 🍗🫛🥬

As of today, your Thanksgiving leftovers should be leaving your refrigerator. According to the USDA, you have until the Monday after Thanksgiving to eat all those delicious leftovers or place them in the freezer to enjoy later. Leftovers only last 4 days in the refrigerator. Vincent and Stephanie Moore own Sweet Magnolia Ridge in Havana, Florida (Coonbottom). Vincent is retired from the United States Government and a retired United States Army Veteran with service in Iraq and Afghanistan. Stephanie is currently employed at Gadsden County Schools as an Assistant Principal.

Vincent and Stephanie recently moved back home after purchasing their farm with the intent of opening an Agri-Tourism/U-Pic operation. Stephanie will also establish an Agri-Education program targeting the surrounding school systems.

🎃 Let’s All Have a Safe Halloween 🎃

10/31/2023

🎃🎃Halloween Safety Tips🎃🎃

Please keep these tips in mind as you participate in Halloween activities tonight.

Did you know? On average, children are more than twice as likely to be hit by a car and killed on Halloween than any other day of the year. Trick or Treaters should stay in a group and parents should talk to their children about Halloween Safety.

1️⃣ When driving through a neighborhood, be on a heightened alert for children to unexpectedly run out into the road. 🔔

2️⃣ Drive slower than normal through neighborhoods. 🚫🚗💨💨

3️⃣ For those who decorate their lawns for the holiday, make sure the decorations don’t pose a tripping hazard for trick-or-treaters. ⚠️

4️⃣ For those who stay home to hand out candy, be sure the porch and lawn area are well lit. 💡

5️⃣ Review with children how to call 9-1-1 (or their local emergency number) if they ever have an emergency or become lost. 🚨

6️⃣ Remember to keep pets safe too. 🐶🐱
