Day 1 of the Independent Educational Consultants Association conference wrapped up with great conversations, fresh ideas, and a reminder of how valuable this community truly is. ✨
From exploring how AI and emerging technology are shaping the future of college counseling to connecting with passionate colleagues from across the country, today was energizing in all the best ways.
And ending the evening overlooking Oriole Park at Camden Yards with fellow counselors made it even better. ⚾️
Grateful for the collaboration, innovation, and shared commitment to helping students navigate the college journey with confidence. Looking forward to everything Day 2 will bring!

What are we doing? There are colleges out there that give students an opportunity to push themselves to grow and explore ideas through clubs and activities. However, it is a question to ask when visiting colleges...what is the process to try out for this or that club? How selective is it?

Clubs at Yale and other universities have become competitive to the point of absurdity.
