On March 21, FSU Authors Day, hosted by FSU Faculty Development and FSU Libraries, was an evening of celebration and community.

The event honors FSU faculty who have published books, scores, or CDs in the past year. This year publications from 2020 and 2021 were celebrated with opening remarks by Florida State University Provost Jim Clark.

Thank you all so much for everything you do to develop and assist everyone at Florida State! The faculty is such an integral part of a university that leaves a lasting impact on everyone. I know some R&R is needed after all of the work that goes on and I recently saw that World of Beer has specials on “College Mondays” for faculty and students. If you bring a valid faculty or student ID, you can get $9 liquor pitchers, $5.95 burgers with a side, $4 Golden Monkey, $5 Giant Pretzel, $4 Sour Monkey, and BOGO Premium Liquor from open to close. If you fill out this link: http://eepurl.com/hWYxK9 you'll get a free liquor pitcher and appetizer sampler! I think WOB is a great spot to unwind for anyone in the Tallahassee area!
Join FSU Faculty Development for lunch on Tuesday, 2/15, in the Bradley Reading Room for the Milton S. Carothers Faculty Lecture Series. Dr. Lakeisha Johnson will be discussing 'Literacy and Justice for All: Cultural Considerations for Diverse Readers.'
