FSBA's Dr. Demetrius Rice attended a Space Florida economic development event at Camp W**d in Suwannee County as a representative of Florida School Boards Association (FSBA). The event provided an opportunity to learn more about Space Florida and its Space Academy programs, which aim to inspire and prepare students for careers in the aerospace industry.
Dr. Rice was invited to speak about FSBA’s supportive role in assisting school districts across Florida. He emphasized FSBA’s commitment to fostering partnerships that enhance educational opportunities, including those in STEM fields that align with Florida’s growing space industry. His participation underscored the importance of collaboration between education and economic development to prepare students for future workforce demands.
