Famu College Of Education Alumni 💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡🐍🐍🐍. We can't express how glad we were to get this COE intern Courtney Wright 10 years ago. She more than meets and exceeds expectations. She had no silver spoon, she had to make it work. In this short time, she’s gotten her bachelors, masters degrees, and Phd uploading in 1 year. She taught in The Brownsville Preparatory Institute, LLC, public schools, China, South Africa. She is back at Brownsvilleprep as the Director of Operations. Continue to look for great things from her in her career. We are happy to be taking this journey with her💃🏾🥰.

Big shout out to my son making the donation at the age of 25. Without the support of & , | may not have made it to transplant. I believe that I am making this transplant matter for more than just myself and my family. Happy International Women’s Day! 💃🏾🥳

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.

BPI Capital Campaign Pre-Launch 02/26/2023

For many years, Brownsville has pushed students to experience a rigorous academic career while engaging in rich cultural experiences. That has allowed our students to become leaders within society after their completion of our program. Brownsville has impacted families across the nation and we have now reached a point in time where we are looking to impact families across the globe. In order to make this a reality, we need your help.

As you all may have heard, our wait list has surpassed the 300 mark. This year, we have only been able to enroll 16 new students. The number of students on our waiting list will continue to grow, thus we must too. This May, we are launching our capital campaign, asking for our community to invest in Brownsville. We have an obligation to serve those who need it most.

A few of our projected goals include tripling our current population size, accrediting the curriculum on a national level, opening up the grounds for school teachers to come in to experience professional development opportunities centered around teacher concepts, partnering with local schools within Leon county to offer enrichment opportunities for students in need, and increasing our current teacher salaries so that we can become more competitive in the market.

As we continue to stay true to the mission of Brownsville, which is to inspire and challenge our future leaders to maximize their intellectual potential and character development in order to contribute to the growth of our communities and society as a whole, we must enter into a transformative space that will align with our new goals. All of which will transform not only the lives of children within Tallahassee but those around the world.

Help us to make the world a better place.
We look forward to your partnership.
See you this May.

“The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses.” - Malcolm X

Malcolm X was an American Muslim minister and human rights activist who was a prominent figure during the civil rights movement. He was a vocal advocate for Black empowerment and the promotion of Islam within the Black community.

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump and family members of Malcolm X — the legendary activist who was assassinated on Feb 21, 1965, at the age of 39 — announced on Tuesday their plans to file a lawsuit against the New York City Police Department and various government agencies, alleging they intentionally concealed evidence related to the murder after it happened.

Attorney Benjamin Crump said Malcolm X's family intends to file a wrongful death lawsuit for $100 million, alleging that the entities named "had factual evidence and exculpatory evidence that they fraudulently concealed from the men who were wrongfully convicted, for the assassination of Malcolm X."

October Recap-
We had an amazing time at Aunt Louise’s Farm. It is always a great way for the students to learn about the ever changing Fall season, farm animals, and seasonal crops. Such a great learning immersive environment.

TBT of this year's Boss Day Celebration. Mrs. Brown has directly transformed the lives of well over one thousand children across the globe, which has an indirect impact of that number being tripled. The work that she has done with early education within the Leon County school system will continue to set the bar for academic excellence. We must continue to give her her flowers, for that’s the least that we can. Continue changing the world, Mrs. Brown!
