Adult & Community Education School, also known as ACE, is the largest provider of adult education programs for people 16 and older in Leon County. We offer GED® classes as a way to earn a high school diploma, English classes for speakers of other languages and high school credit classes to high school students and adults make up a class they need to graduate.

Summer School at ACE was a success! Time to enjoy a nice, relaxing summer because we will be back in the classroom again in August! If you don't want to miss a single day of the Fall semester, just go to aceleon.org starting on July 22nd to register for GED or ESOL!

Summer school started today because some of ACE's ESOL and GED students can't wait until August to continue working toward their goals!
It is the last day of the Spring 2024 semester! We've made wonderful memories during this school year, and we hope you make many more this summer!
The Fall semester starts on August 12th, but you can register online at aceleon.org as early as July 22nd. We hope to see you next year to continue your journey toward a GED or improved English skills!

Teacher Appreciation Week is off to a great start at ACE! Dunkin Donuts yesterday and Hungry Howie's pizza today! Our teachers work hard to meet their students' needs, and dining together is a great way to celebrate their accomplishments, large and small! Thank you!

On yesterday's field trip to the Florida Supreme Court we learned that our very own high intermediate ESOL teacher, Joanne Clark, is the cousin of Supreme Court Justice James E.C. Perry, who served in that position from 2009 to 2016!
Today's field trip to the Florida Supreme Court was a blast! Our high intermediate and advanced students learned about the court system thanks to our wonderful tour guide Emily, and they had a great time doing it!

At ACE we are still buzzing over last week's International Day fun! Our ESOL students represented dozens of countries but in this picture, our Haitian students really shine!
On International Day students of all levels come together to celebrate our many cultures and the ACE ESOL community!
International Day was a huge success! Our students represented their countries through food, dance, and even henna! ACE is the place to celebrate the many things we have in common, as well as our beautiful differences, all while learning English!
Our annual International Day celebration is tomorrow, and some of Christina Eppes' beginning students couldn't wait to share some of what they have been working on!
At ACE, we work as a team to help our students reach their goals!
ACE Volunteer of the Year Elizabeth Heffington was celebrated at the Leon County Schools Volunteer, Partner and Mentor Recognition Event last week! You can see her friendly face on a weekly basis at ACE as she provides extra support to both our ESOL and GED students. We are so very grateful for her commitment to their success!
