This week marks a very important week for the Brothers of Chi Phi. This week is our philanthropy week where we raise money and end the week with the Tinsley 5k. We run in honor of our fallen brother, Captain John Tinsley, who was killed in action on August 12th, 2009 in Afghanistan.

This week we have a couple events and all proceeds go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the ROTC student scholarship fund.

Today we have a car wash from 3-6 at the Chi Phi House, 829 W Pensacola st.

Tomorrow we have a share it night at Bento 5-7 PM, just tell the cashier that you’re with Chi Phi

Chi Phi Presents: CPT John Tinsley Memorial 5K

The Brothers of Chi Phi are excited to announce that we are building a new house. We are breaking ground at the end of Spring and it will be completed Fall of 2019. A lot of work has gone into this, with a lot of help and support from our proud alumni association. The house will be 3 stories plus a basement level, with a massive turf courtyard, in-house spots for 46 brothers, a sun terrace, basketball court, sand volleyball court, state of the art gym for all brothers, game lounge, etc. Best of all, we will have the same location, right on campus with a 5 minute walk to the stadium. We will miss all the great memories made in our current house, but all good things must come to an end.

This past year we have won top fraternity for Dance Marathon, we have placed in multiple sorority philanthropies and intramurals. With an increase of brothers being involved in SGA, Campus Rec, IFC Exec, and nightlife... The best is yet to come. We're excited for the future of this fraternity and what surely will be the nicest fraternity house at Florida State.

Tonight is the last day of Fall rush and we're already excited about our current new members. Rush starts at 7 PM, come be a part of something great.

As many of you know, Hurricane Harvey has been passing through many parts of Texas the past couple of days. It's been an absolute travesty and has even caused over five deaths, with dozens of injuries. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected and hope for a quick recovery, as hard as that may be.

The Brothers of Chi Phi have started a GoFundMe to donate to the victims in Texas. We encourage you to help out in any way possible. Even the smallest donations can make a huge difference. And even if you can't donate anything, please give this post a share, it can go a long way.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha at Florida State University for the loss of their brother, Austin. The outpouring of emotion across the FSU community speaks loudly of the respect Austin had garnered as a friend and fellow Seminole. Our deepest condolences to each of you.

Tomorrow's the day. The peak of Summer C. The peak of the United States of America. Don't be cramped in a dark club on this wonderful country's 241st birthday. Celebrate it right by tossing on your best red white or blue bathing suit and head to Old School.
