Federalist Society at FSU Law

Federalist Society at FSU Law We at the Federalist Society believe that the state exists to preserve freedom and that separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution.

We believe that the courts should interpret the law rather than using interpretation as a policy-making instrument or an alternative to the amendment process. Such judicial overreaching usurps the power of the legislature and the people. We wish to reorder priorities within the legal system to place a premium on individual liberty, traditional values, and the rule of law.
