Save Gibbs Cottage

To save, protect, preserve and restore Gibbs Cottage, the home of Florida A&M University founder Thomas Van Renssalaer Gibbs Gibbs Hall is named for Gibbs.

Gibbs Cottage, built in 1892, was the home of Reconstruction-era FL State Representative Thomas Van Renssalaer Gibbs, who introduced the legislation to found present-day Florida A&M University, then the State Normal College for Colored Students.
