We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of John E. Thrasher, a courageous and principled leader. He boldly differed with members of his political party in opposing the current push to allow guns on college campuses. His stance reminded us that the fight for gun safety is not about partisanship — it's about principle, courage, and care for our communities.

We are grateful for his voice, leadership, and commitment to creating safer learning environments. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all who were impacted by his work. May his memory be a blessing — and a call to continue this vital work.
