We are coming up on the end of the year. Please take a moment to pay the $60 neighborhood association dues. We need to be sure to have enough money to pay for the front entrance electricity to support our upcoming holiday decorating. Remember, tons of locals drive through our neighborhood every year, and our front entrance is the best first impression. Thank you!

Pardon our mistake. There was a typo on the 2020 neighborhood association invoice showing dues due for 2019, however, it is actually for the 2020 dues. For those of you who have already paid your 2020 dues, please disregard the invoice you received in the mail. If you have questions or concerns, contact Dean Crump at [email protected]. Sorry for the confusion. We were rushing to send out the invoices in order to collect funds to pay neighborhood maintenance costs. Through your financial support, we are able to keep our neighborhood looking good and thriving.
Sincerely,
Dean Crump
President, Settlers Springs Neighborhood Association

I spoke this morning with Ms. Bartosz, civil engineer II with COT. The following information was given in April 2019 in reference to update on the Settlers Springs project:
"We would like to provide you a brief update as to where things are at with our water improvements project. The engineering design is essentially complete and the construction drawings have only minor detailing remaining to be addressed. The environmental permit application is under review. Bidding for the pipeline construction cannot be performed until the environmental permit is obtained. It is our intention to solicit bids for the work as soon as the environmental permit is approved. Weanticipate advertising this project for competitive bids from utility contractors in May, beginning construction in late summer/early fall. Please feel free to contact me as questions arise."
Thank you.
Lana Bartosz, E.I. Civil Engineer II, Water and Sewer Capital Projects
Underground Utilities and Public Infrastructure, City of Tallahassee
As of this morning, Ms. Bartosz explained there had been some delays in the bidding process for the project and there is a meeting Nov. 7th, this next week, to finalize parts of the project so that construction can go forward. I advised Ms. Bartosz that in the future keeping our neighbors in the loop on a more continual basis would be appreciated and would go a long way in keeping our neighbors informed. She advised an update would be forthcoming after the Nov 7th meeting, but it would take approximately 2 weeks for the update to get out. I thanked her for her time and advised we would be looking forward to a project update shortly after Nov. 7, 2019
