Reflecting on a meaningful opportunity for our campus community 💙💛

We’d like to take a moment and reflect on the success of the Joint 2026 AFC Leadership Summit & Admission, Recruitment and Advising for Student Success Conference.

The conference provided meaningful opportunities to connect with AFC members from across the state, engage in insightful breakout sessions, and continue strengthening the work we do within our chapter and campus community.

We’re also excited to share that our Chapter President, Tawana Carter, has been selected to serve on the AFC Rules Subcommittee, contributing to ongoing efforts to strengthen and support the organization at the state level.

We’re proud to represent TSC and AFC to continue building connections that help us grow and serve our community.

💙💛 Thank you to everyone who helped make today’s Financial Literacy Workshop a success!

Hosted at TSC’s Richard W. and Karen B. Moore Veterans Success Center, the session brought together veterans, students, and employees for an informative conversation on financial wellness and planning.

We were honored to welcome Retired Veteran Ray Thompson, President of Ameris Bank, and Morgan Bailey, Commercial Relationship Manager at Ameris Bank, who shared their expertise and practical insights with attendees.

With 32 participants registered, the workshop created a valuable opportunity to learn, ask questions, and build stronger financial knowledge within our campus community.

The TSC AFC Chapter was proud to support this initiative alongside TSC Veterans Affairs.

Most importantly, we extend our sincere thanks to the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. Your dedication and sacrifice are deeply appreciated. 🇺🇸

💙 Milestone Moment for the TSC AFC Chapter! 💛

We’re excited to share that 50 new members have joined our chapter since January 2025, bringing our total membership to 179 members strong.

This growth reflects the dedication, engagement, and community spirit that continue to define our chapter.

We’re also proud that our Chapter President, Tawana Carter, recently represented us at the District Board of Trustees meeting, where President Jim Murdaugh congratulated the TSC AFC Chapter on being named the 2025 AFC Chapter of the Year and Platinum Chapter of the Year — earning the distinction as the #1 chapter in Florida for the first time in the college’s history.

Thank you to each of our members for helping us reach this milestone. Together, we continue building something special. ✨
