Good morning,

This is a reminder that our final exams and early release schedule begin tomorrow. Students must remain in the classroom with their instructor until the exam period dismissal bell, even if the exam finishes early. Early checkouts are not permitted. This policy is established and ongoing.

Students with exam exemption forms should submit them to the front office today, May 19, for attendance purposes.

REHEARSAL - Tuesday, May 19 - 10:00am - Donald L. Tucker Civic Center

• Students arrive at 9:15 and be inside lined up by 9:30
• Go down escalators and line up with Homeroom teacher
• Students should be in school dress code
• Students who miss rehearsal may not participate in graduation

GRADUATION - Tuesday, May 19 - 7:00pm - Donald L. Tucker Civic Center

• Students arrive at 6:00 and be inside lined up by 6:15
• Go down escalators and line up with Homeroom teacher.
• Carry in your cap, gown, and approved regalia (Magna, Summa, Cum Laude, NHS stoles only - Honors, Commended, Military cords only)
• Leave phones/keys in your Homeroom teacher's bag
• After the ceremony, GET YOUR DIPLOMA FROM YOUR HOMEROOM TEACHER BEFORE YOU LEAVE

The Chiles Softball team ended the season 20-4 after reaching the Elite 8. They fought hard but ultimately lost in extra innings to the state's #1-ranked team, the Niceville Eagles. While they came up short, the girls played an excellent game and out-hit their opponent. Anna Kate had a standout performance in the circle, allowing only one walk and two earned runs.

We are incredibly proud of how this season ended. Here is the recap from their last game:

Chiles Varsity Timberwolves Go Down On Final Play Against Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles
May 14, 2026 vs. Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles

A walk-off left Chiles Varsity Timberwolves on the wrong end of a 5-4 defeat to Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles on Thursday. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the eighth when Hann singled, scoring one run.

Chiles Varsity Timberwolves lost despite out-hitting Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles nine to eight. Hemenway and Githens each collected two hits for Chiles Varsity Timberwolves.

Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Noles doubled down the right field line, Summerlin singled to center field, and Malley singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Chiles Varsity Timberwolves tied the game up in the top of the third thanks to two doubles. Chiles Varsity Timberwolves tied the game at three on a double by Hemenway.

Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles took the lead in the bottom of the third. Hann doubled, scoring one run, to give Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles the advantage, 4-3.

Dempsey doubled to center field, which helped Chiles Varsity Timberwolves tie the game at four in the top of the sixth.

Barber started in the circle for Chiles Varsity Timberwolves. The righty gave up eight hits and five runs (two earned) over seven and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Bailey started the game for Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles. The starter gave up nine hits and four runs over eight innings, striking out seven and walking two.

Hemenway provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Chiles Varsity Timberwolves with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-4 on the day.

Hann drove the middle of the lineup, leading Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Niceville Varsity Lady Eagles were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Summerlin made the most plays with nine.

Good afternoon Chiles Volunteers,

You, as Chiles Adult Volunteers, have faithfully given your time and talents to ensure the success of so many campus activities and events. Chiles receives recognition for that dedicated service so reporting these hours to the school board is incredibly important!

Any type of time commitment can be counted--everything from sports concessions and honor roll celebrations to Project Graduation planning, club banquets or committee meetings—even the time you spend shopping for donations of treats for teacher appreciation week—we get credit for all of it!

The link below is a short form to report any hours you volunteered from July 2024 to May 2025. The deadline to submit this form is Friday, May 16th. **For events occurring after the deadline, please estimate the number of hours you will participate and report those now!
