Tallahassee is working on building a Youth Mountain Bike Team for Middle and High School students.
Practices will be held on Tallahassee's south side and use the FAMU Way Extension and St. Marks Trails to commute by bike to parks and trail systems.
Cascades and Myers Parks will be used for skills building, where bike handling skills will be practiced.

We are family. Class of 2016.
From Julie Sear
I've been a teacher on this campus for 14 years. I raised my daughter there, K-8th grade, believing "it takes a village". I wouldn't change a thing. This is my second family.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I love my charter school, how about you?
There are so many things our family loves about SAST, they are hard to enumerate. From the administration truly caring about the success and well-being of not only each child, but also the teachers and staff. To the most loving, warm, supportive teachers a parent or student could ask for - each student is truly an individual and teachers and staff work to develop each studentโs individual strengths and weaknesses. To the culture of inclusion, diversity, caring, acceptance, and the drive to make the world a kinder, better place. To the fabulous students and families who take the saying โWe take care of ourselves, each other, and this place,โ to heart, SAST is truly a one-of-a-kind, special place.
Wanted to give SAST a huge shout out - with the biggest to Ms. Anna - the dance recital was absolutely fantastic and perfectly presented! It showed how serious each student took this presentation! They were so proud to present their hardwork! I wanted to thank each of you for working so hard with our children helping them grow while expanding their abilities!
Celine Allana and I cried at least twice as we were so proud of the kids and their efforts!

Great performance by SAS at the Leon Schools Honors Chorus.
are dec 19 and 20 still early release days?
I thought the event last night turned out great! Would love to see any photos people took. Maybe we could make them into a collage or display to show what a fun event it was. I appreciate everyone's hard work and participation.
Thank you SAST Dragons ๐ for all your generous donations at the Proof Family Potluck last week!
Because of those donations we were able to donate cash to seven families at Apalachicola Bay Charter (ABC) who lost everything in the storm. A team also went over to the school today to not only deliver the donations but serve lunch to their teachers returning to school today (their students return tomorrow). We are in contact with the school to determine their familiesโ needs going forward after this devastating storm and will let you know ASAP how we can all contribute to this awesome school!
Thank you Dragons for your big hearts! ABC was blown away by your love and generosity!
We drove by the school. A big pine tree fell across the driving loop and crushed some of Ms. Cassieโs garden. Another huge branch came down on the blacktop. Also a large hanging pine branch behind the dumpster. Thankfully there appears to be no structural damage anywhere
