LEAD TEACHER—CHILDCARE
SUMMARY:
The childcare lead teacher is responsible for the education, growth & development, care and safety of the children in his or her assigned classroom. The lead teacher provides structure ensuring consistent and predictable routine with rules and expectations that help children feel safe and develop a sense of self-discipline. The lead teacher is expected to take independent initiative in the performance of all duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
General:
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check
• Must be able to foster developmentally appropriate independence in children through planned but flexible educational and creative activities.
• Must be able to use appropriate discipline management techniques to ensure the children are safely in control at all times.
• Must participant in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Must be in good health.
• Must be honest, dependable, resourceful, and organized.
• Must possess good written & verbal communication skills.
• Must be capable of managing a group of young children.
• Must genuinely love children.
