Day 3 of our Leukemia & Lymphoma Fundraiser Dress to Impress! Everyone dressed fancy around campus today!

Thanks Mrs Ak. for organizing another amazing event! Along with the cooking, they enjoyed Turkish tea, fruits, bagels, cucumbers, tomatoes, and various side dishes. They also had a lot of fun with activities such as a Turkish version of Twister and karaoke. Most of the time was spent on engaging class activities, with a brief 10-minute outdoor break.
It was a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved!
We are kicking off our Leukemia and Lymphoma Fundraiser with a dress week starting with Crazy Socks for pennies!

On Tuesday, for the very first time, our school inducted 18 members into the Elementary National Beta Club Chapter, and 14 members into the Junior National Beta Club Chapter. The club sponsor, Mrs. Taylor and co-sponsor, Ms. Locke, have been working with the students invited to join this club as they have learned what being a Beta is all about.
Students invited into this club must have a GPA of or 3.0 for Junior Members and a 90% GPA or higher for Elementary members. Students inducted at our school are both intelligent and excel in behavioral excellence. Beta members pledge to be honest and truthful, maintain academic excellence, and conduct themselves in an ethical manner. They are dedicated to serving others and contributing to the collective success of their peers.
These members join the ranks of over 500,000 active Beta members residing within approximately 14,000 clubs both nationally and internationally. While our chapter is small compared to some, they are for sure mighty.
Congratulations to ALL members that were inducted and an extra congratulations to the Beta officers, who were elected by their peers.
And a big thank you to Ms. Ottley, our administrative sponsor, and Mr. AK for making himself readily available to assist with the event.
Mrs. Ak hosted Friday's lock-in event for the Turkish Olympiad and CMP team. The event was a great success, and the students created wonderful memories.
The evening began with practices for the Olympiad, including folk dance, singing, and poetry. We also played bingo, participated in a movie-themed guessing game, and enjoyed pizza before a lively karaoke session. Twister was a big hit, too! We had meaningful character education discussions on friendship and honesty, followed by hot chocolate, more practice, and a cozy movie with popcorn to wrap up the night. The morning featured a costume rehearsal, and we ended with a delicious breakfast.
The event was an incredible mix of fun, learning, and bonding!

Next week we raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with dress down days! Check out the flyer below for more information.
Let’s check in on our math classes today!
